Job Description

We are seeking professional and ambitious Financial Advisors to acquire and deepen relationships with clients by providing comprehensive financial planning, advice, and investment management to help individuals and families pursue their finance goals. As a Financial Advisor with Bellwether Investment Group, LLC (Bellwether), you will work one-on-one with clients to develop individually tailored investment plans comprised of personalized investment products and services. You will also provide ongoing assistance through services that help clients accumulate wealth and safeguard their assets.

Additional tasks of the Financial Advisor Representative include:

  • Analyzing, drafting and implementing comprehensive financial and investment plans to help meet client objectives
  • Identifying and developing new business through existing and potential clients
  • Opening, transferring and closing customer accounts and maintaining appropriate account records
  • Staying up-to-date with new investment products and market trends

Job Responsibilities

As a Financial Advisor Representative with Bellwether, you will evaluate clients’ financial needs, current holdings and available investment capital to help them identify their investment objectives. You will also monitor client portfolios and make recommendations that are consistent with changes in economic and finance markets and take into account clients’ needs and objectives.

Additional responsibilities of the Financial Advisor include:

  • Participating in training and development to continually improve your ability to provide the best advice and service for clients
  • Preparing and delivering clear, effective and professional presentations
  • Conducting productive networking and prospecting in the community
  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence and electronic communications

Job Requirements

As a Financial Advisor with Bellwether, you must possess superb verbal communication skills as well as leadership and training skills to occasionally direct the work of administrative employees. Our ideal Financial Advisor Representative demonstrates an excellent work ethic, applies effective listening and questioning techniques to identify client needs and uses mathematics sufficiently to analyze numerical data, ratios among percentages and rates of change in trend analysis. You must also have strong working knowledge of economic and accounting principles as well as the financial market.

Additional requirements for the Financial Advisor include:

  • Minimum 2 years sales experience in the business industry
  • Valid Series 66 or 65
  • Life, Health and Variable Annuity license or ability to obtain license within 3 months of employment
  • Clean CRD/U4 record
  • Working knowledge of technology and software planning tools sufficient to analyze and report financial data
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; Master’s degree or related professional certification a plus
  • Previous production minimum of $50,000 or assets under management of $5,000,000 preferred
